With A Once-A-Week 25 Minute Workout!
After 16 years under the tutelage of master trainers, Sonny Palmar is delighted to show clients how a lean, svelte figure can be achieved with a focused 25-minute workout, just once or twice a week. The actor, singer and certified trainer practices (and models) exactly what he preaches with unorthodox but effective training sessions at Living Proof on East 54th Street. In addition to training clients at Living Proof in Manhattan and doing in-home training for individuals and families, Sonny is available to speak at schools, cultural organizations, and conferences about fitness and health and currently is developing a TV series focused on ethnicity, diet and health.
It’s a workout, not an endurance test. Forget the notion of bopping ’til you drop at the gym to tone your muscles. Personal trainer Sonny Palmar is ready to show you how keeping your workout brief and focused can achieve a glam silhouette much faster than you think!
Be brief so you can wear great briefs! Want a glam bod to match some sexy lingerie? Then keep each workout short, to 20 minutes, and never more than 25.
Have tools will train. Workouts all take place on Living Proof’s MedX strength-training machines.
The myth of repetition. When you’re with Sonny, you do it his way. That means only one set per exercise, lasting no more than 90 seconds, often less. Sonny’s workouts consist of around five to seven exercises.
Work hard, then recover. When you follow Sonny’s specific program, customized to your needs, he’ll explain how the process of strengthening your body happens AFTER the training, as you let your body recover, not during the workout. Sonny likens it to healing from a cut. If you pick at the scab it will never repair. Same with your muscles. Work them harder than they’re used to for a shorter amount of time, and then let them recover.
